The 4′ Flail Mower – 3-Point Hitch PTO is designed to deliver versatile, high-quality cutting performance with compact and small tractors. Suitable for tractors in the 20–30 HP range, it provides increased cutting width and productivity while maintaining excellent cut quality across grass, weeds, and light brush.

This flail mower mounts to a standard Category 1 three-point hitch and operates from a 540 RPM PTO. Power is transferred through a heavy-duty belt drive to a balanced rotor fitted with 42 reversible “Y” blades, providing precise blade overlap and consistent cutting across the full 4 ft (1250 mm) working width. The mower includes a PTO shaft, allowing for straightforward installation and immediate use.

Flail mowers are often considered the best of both worlds between a finishing mower and a rotary cutter. They deliver a cleaner, more controlled finish than a rotary cutter while offering greater cutting capability and durability than a standard finishing mower. This makes them ideal for maintaining lawns and fields while still handling taller weeds and light brush, with reduced debris throw.

Built for durability and smooth operation, this mower features balanced cast iron pulleys, a fully balanced rotor and shaft, and an offset PTO center mount for improved driveline alignment and reduced stress on components.
